A new computing interaction model
One of the more interesting computing input innovations since the tablet PC just got unveiled by Microsoft. Codenamed Milan, Microsoft Surface is supposed to hit stores this fall as a coffee table priced between the $5-10K range. It will change how we think about computing and appears to simplify the interface between multiple device formats. See the video for more information.
Of course, as with all Microsoft products, this will be amazing technology by v3.

Me in pictures

A new website, imagini.net, allows you to be profiled (rather well) after selecting a few photos in response to a series of questions. A website at St. Andrew's also morphs your photo into other ethnicities, artistic styles and ages based on a series of automated photo editing.

I posted this on Slideshare.net. It has been well viewed given its narrow audience. Here it is for more fun and enjoyment.

Joseph Campbell: The Hero's Journey
Every act of creativity or innovation is an act of courage, of heroism. One of the most inspiring thinkers on the topic for me is Joseph Campbell, whose 1938 PhD thesis, entitled "The Hero Myth", shaped my thinking on many topics. In this video his views on the Hero's Journey are discussed.
